Join us for an evening of praise and thanksgiving, for women of all ages, remembering what God has done and how He has answered our prayers. The evening will include key speaker Monica Dean from Channel 7 News in San Diego, who is a Moms in Prayer leader, and worship led by Highest Call, a local praise team. This event is co-sponsored by Mission Nazarene Church and San Diego Moms in Prayer.

Special Speaker Monica Dean, Channel 7 News
 

Monica Dean is an Emmy award winning anchor/reporter for NBC7 San Diego.  Monica anchors NBC7's weekday newscasts at 4 & 5PM. Monica joined the NBC San Diego news team in June 2004.  Some of her most memorable reports came from the San Diego Firestorms of October 2007 where she delivered continuous live reports from the fire lines.  In 2006 Monica won her first Emmy for her report on the migrant worker camps in Carmel Valley.

Monica came to San Diego from Bakersfield, Calif., where she anchored the weeknight 6, 10 and 11PM newscasts for KBAK/KBFX-TV, the CBS and FOX affiliates.  Monica Dean has lived and worked all over the world, but California has always been her home.  Monica grew up in San Diego, the daughter of a Navy Captain and local dental hygienist.  During her childhood, Monica was actively involved in San Diego Junior Theater and graduated from University of San Diego High School.   

Monica earned her bachelor's degree in English from the University of California at Los Angeles.   She began her news career in Los Angeles as a news desk assistant at KTTV FOX 11 News.  Monica went on to earn her master's degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago.  Monica got her first on-air reporting job as the Washington D.C. political correspondent for WCAX, the CBS affiliate in Burlington, VT.

Monica is married and has three young children.  She and her family make their home in Scripps Ranch.  They attend Canyon Springs Church.  Monica is a Moms in Prayer leader in her community.  Monica loves being a mom and is actively involved in her children's lives.  She's also involved with a number of community organizations including The Red Cross, Children's Hospital, Christian Media Fellowship & Make-a-Wish.  Monica enjoys traveling, singing, exercising, public speaking and electronic scrapbooking.

Worship By Dylan and Amy, Highest Call

Highest Call is Dylan and Amy Burcombe of San Diego.  They are life-long musicians and better yet, newlyweds! God brought them together through music. Now they enjoy leading worship at their home church and at events throughout San Diego. Outside of music, Dylan works as an EMT and attends paramedic school. His lifelong goal is to be a firefighter. Amy teaches at a private music studio and performs for weddings. Together they hope to bring people closer to the Lord with their music.
