Sing Over Your Seed

Sing Over Your Seed
Planting Your Destiny through Worship

By Lauren Hasson

Your supernatural seeds of destiny.  They are given only to you.  Purposed in the heart of the Father since before the foundations of the world.  Can you see them?

In our core are passions and dreams that can only be realized through the deepening intimacy with every expression of the Godhead.  Our passions and dreams are central to our identity as children of God.  They are a gift from Him, and they are a gift for Him and the world.  At the very least, they drive us to Him to be understood.  He longs to show us and partner with us.  In His presence, all of our passions and dreams unfold.  We are created this way: to fully live!

Can you see your seeds?

Your supernatural seeds threaten the enemy.  He will do all he can to keep you from discovering them.  If you do discover them, he will use all his efforts to keep you from planting them.  He covers your supernatural seeds of purpose with lies of your inadequacies, lies of God’s indifference, and lies of the world’s lack of interest and support.  It is amazing that our very areas of perceived poverty are the enemy’s thin disguise over the Holy Spirit’s very gift in your life.

Name your seeds!

Right now, declare out loud the names of your seeds.  Try this, “Holy Spirit, show me the names of my seeds.  You are speaking to me an area of purpose and destiny in my life, a deep passion I have to see something happen in this world through me.  I believe in Your power, Your inexhaustible love, to reveal to me one area where I am a gift to the world.  Speak to my spirit and allow me to hear Your thoughts and ideas right now.  I trust in You to speak to me about what You’ve placed in my heart.  Amen.”

Now, allow Him to begin opening your heart to what He wants to show you.  It might start as a picture in your mind’s eye.  Allow your spirit to open up to His prompting.  His resources are limitless to help you accomplish this (2 Cor. 9:8), so allow your reasoning mind to rest right now as He speaks to you.  What inspires you?  What makes you come alive?  Who are the people who will receive your gift?  See Him empowering you, equipping you, strengthening you, and training you to walk into this dream.

These dreams feel like risky business!  That’s because without Holy Spirit they are!  In fact, they’re utterly impossible.  WHAT?  Yes, here’s where it gets really interesting.  He’s given them to us to know Him through these great dreams.  He connects us with others to achieve them, so that we won’t be alone.  It’s His great plan to bring us into every aspect of His kingdom.

This week, at a BBQ I hosted for the worship leaders who are part of David’s Tent, I saw many dreams being fulfilled.  These worshippers have given their lives to expressing the beauty, kindness, and love of the Lord through the songs in their spirits that they offer to Him on a daily basis.  This is what they’re created to do.

All day, I kept hearing the same excitement and sense of wonder over what God is doing.  “Wow, I can’t wait to see what is going to happen!  When we performed in the U.K. there were these moments when He came in the most profound way.  We couldn’t even move.  Our hearts were opened to something we hadn’t experienced before!”

As the musicians started recounting their experiences in different ways, there was one prevailing voice throughout the day: “We can’t believe we get to be a part of this.  It’s something way bigger than any of us could do on our own!”

As we talked about our seeds this week, we also talked about the death of the outer shell of the seed, the enemy’s lies that try to hold us back.  God is asking for permission to show us what isn’t bringing us life.  He’s asking us to release to Him our unbelief, fear, inadequacies, rejections, past failures…all things that don’t bring us to life in Him.  He’s asking for our hearts to open in new ways of vulnerability.  He’s asking us to wait until we can reconnect in the fullness of His love and His ways for us.

One of our simplest ways to have our hearts captured by His, is through worship.  Worship washes us from fears, cleanses us from effects of unbelief, allows us to see Him, and waters our seeds of destiny.  Worship anchored William Carey through all of his tremendous losses, as he sang the destiny God had placed in his heart for the people of India.

Sing over what has been barren.
Sing over what you are hoping for.
Sing over your breakthrough.

Will you plant your seed in your heart and water it with your song?

54 Eternal One: Sing, childless woman, you who have never given birth.
        Raise a joyful shout, you who have never gone through labor.

    You, whose husband is dead, will bring forth much more than the fertile one who has a husband.[a]
2     Enlarge your house. You are going to need a bigger place;
        don’t underestimate the amount of room that you’ll need. So build, build, build.

    You will increase in every direction to fill the world.
        Your offspring will take over the nations;
    Your people will revitalize long-abandoned towns.

Don’t be afraid, for there is no one to shame you.
    Don’t fear humiliation, for there is no one to disgrace you.
The shame of your younger years and the sorrow of your widowhood are over.

    You’ll forget those days as if they never happened.
Because the One who made you will be your husband;
    the One called Commander of heavenly armies
Will set you right again, the Holy One of Israel.

                                                            Isaiah 54: 105

 Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything[a]—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.

                                                            2 Corinthians 9:8 The Passion Translation (TPT)

I can guarantee this truth: A single grain of wheat doesn't produce anything unless it is planted in the ground and dies. If it dies, it will produce a lot of grain.

John 12:24

Hope to see you at David’s Tent where we’ll be singing our heart’s song to the One who deserves it all!
