Mobilizing Your Essential PIT Crew Part 1

Mobilizing Your Essential PIT Crew

Part 1

by Amy Stoehr

Dear one,  you are completely  loved with an everlasting love! (Jer 31:3) You are chosen, and called and you are exceptionally important for this time. Everything you have experienced, overcome and learned in your life up to now has  helped prepare you for these days, and Your trust in the Lord will  keep you on His path.

God’s will for you is to live every minute in Him, knowing you are redeemed and free, filled with His presence, walking in His  Word, flourishing in His wisdom and provision, throwing off hindrances, releasing His glory. You have an important assignment and calling, and you must finish it well! There are countless souls attached to your calling. These are the days we are arising to who He has made us to be as new creation people, committed to the commission He has given us, collaborating  with Him and with others to love well.  And this happens by prayer.

I wholeheartedly believe that  you need a united team  praying intentionally and regularly  for you, your family and your ministry. It is essential that you have an operational PIT Crew (Personal Intercessory Team) who is praying arm in arm with you,  so that you can flourish and finish well and also because of the many lives the Lord is impacting and will impact  through you!

I’m continually thinking about what Jesus  told His disciples in Luke 18:1, that “they should always pray and not give up.” He modeled a life of meeting with the Father alone and in secret, and being in complete oneness  with Him. And I love how He also taught them the priority of united prayer. He said that we are to “ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking and knock and keep on knocking, for everyone who asks in prayer receives, and whoever seeks will find and to whoever knocks the door will be opened.” (Mt 7:7) Let’s really believe this, and do it!

The apostle Paul was continually making appeals for the Church to pray for him, he knew that united  prayer was essential. In Phil  1:19, he  says to the Philippians  “I know that through your prayers will come a supply of the Spirit that will result in my deliverance.” You will need a continual  supply of the Spirit  in these days, the supply that only comes through prayer!

For the past four years I have experienced the joy of being a part of numerous PIT crews and  I have seen the exponentially multiplying impact of the united praying of these intentional teams! It has been life changing and transformational. I’m praying for you that even as you are reading this, the Lord is bringing to mind people who are already praying for you, who love you, who can be a part of your  PIT Crew. It is not a huge time commitment, but it is a powerful partnership of praying God’s will into your life, your family’s life and the lives of those you are laboring with and ministering to.

In the days ahead you will have need of a daily fresh supply of grace and wisdom and strength and peace  that will come through prayer. You will need angelic help and protection. Prayer will carry you through difficulties, trials and resistance. Prayer will keep you on course and in faith. The united prayer of your team will buoy you up and carry you through all types of seasons. Necessary resources and strategic partnerships will come through prayer. Your praying team will love you and the Holy Spirit will teach them how to pray for you.

Acts 12 is a beautiful account of what happens through the united, fervent praying of a PIT Crew. Please take time to read it, I will paraphrase it here. In a dangerous  time of heavy persecution, Peter has been arrested, probable death sentence.  He is in a fortified prison, chained, garrisons of guards posted at his side and outside the prison walls. And the most powerful thing is in verse 4 ...”So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.” They were alert to what was happening. They gathered. They were praying. This is what your PIT Crew will be doing for you!

What happened as they prayed  is remarkable. Light burst into the darkness of the cell. An angel showed up on the scene. Peter’s chains were removed and the angel led him out of the locked doors, passing by his captors unnoticed, through opened doors and gates. It was so surprising  that he thought he was dreaming, but found himself out of prison with the angel, in the city and ultimately to house where the prayer team was praying. The united praying of the praying ones brought the will of God for Peter... and his freedom was so much more important than him personally, because of the lives God touched through him in the days following.

This is the importance of your PIT Crew! In the days ahead their praying will cause Light to come in dark times, angelic host to be released on your behalf, chains and hindrances to be removed, locked doors to be opened, so that you can move forward in ministering to the many people you are called to reach. The power of the united prayer agreement of your team, led by the Holy Spirit, according to the Word, in faith believing, is exponential!

We are in a spiritual war, and our weapons are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. I’m praying that every person in our Lifestreams Collective will have a mobilized, ignited, united PIT  Crew by this summer. Every leader needs one and you are an important leader in this time. In Part 2, I will share how to mobilize your team, a simple plan and testimonies of powerful victories. Until then, I love you and I’m praying for you according to 2 Cor 13:14 that the grace of our Lord Jesus and the immeasurable love of our Father and the abiding fellowship of the Holy Spirit would be your continual experience.... Lord teach us how to pray and how to live in complete oneness with You. Precious Holy Spirit lead us, and help us to live in partnership with you and each other, all for Your glory! In Jesus’ Name❤️
